Found a stylish antique wooden frame that I thought would fit perfectly with the canadian wilderness scenery. It kind of made me think of being inside the famous Banff Fairmont Hotel.
Although the photo as been transform into a photo painting the image reflect well the actual view of the area. Which is the trail you take when you come back from Bow Fall, a 20 min drive North of Lake Louise.

Took the photo while descending towards the stream that connects Bow Fall to Bow Lake. Having an hiker as subject matter at the bottom of the picture does create more details and points of reference of the actual size.
I kept it simple for this art piece by adding a light painting effect on the entire picture. Reduced the effect in the trees, the hiker and a little bit at the horizon. Then I enhance the color saturation and sharpness to get it as close as it was in real life.
The frame that use to assemble this photo painting with it, is phenomenal ! Giving the art piece a vintage look and a victorian style at the same time. The brown stain on the carved wooden frame creates a very nice contrast that makes you want to jump it and immerse yourself in the Canadian wilderness.
